With Southern Quarters Realty, List for Less , sellers are able to save 25 percent or more in real estate commissions when compared to traditional real estate firms charging 6 percent. List for Less places homes on the MLS as well as provides full service real estate support to sellers.
In a traditional real estate transaction, the commission is typically divided between the listing and selling broker. If the commission is negotiated at 6%, the listing broker will receive 3% and the selling broker will receive 3% at closing. A $200,000 property would offer as much as $12,000 in real estate commissions.
With List for Less, sellers now have access to the Multiple Listing Service by paying 4 1/2 percent total in commission(or less if they choose our $595 plus 4% paid at closing option) to list and sell their home and have full service representation thoughout the process. On a $200,000 home the total commission with List for Less would be $9000(savings of $3000 from a 6 percent commission scenario).
